Magellan Explorist GC FAQ: Related Models

Introduced in April of 2010, the Explorist GC is completely unrelated to other products of the Magellan products such as Triton or the older Explorist 400/500/600/XL line. It is not compatible with any accessores for the older Explorists.

In the market, it competes with the Garmin Dakota and Oregon lines as well as the Delorme PN-30 and PN-40. It is a SirfStar based receiver that has a feature set optimized for Geocaching. It supports paperless geocaching.
